Inception Workshop: Country presentation detailing the impacts of climate change on public health in Bangladesh, as well as policies and programmes already in place to address these challenges - upon which the Building Resilience of Health Systems in Asian LDCs to Climate Change project can build. 

UNDP-supported GEF-Financed Climate Information and Early Warning Systems Projects in Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia recently toured meteorological facilities in the Philippines on a South-South technology and knowledge transfer mission to see first-hand how an extensive weather and climate observing network can be deployed through Automated Weather Stations (AWS).

This report was commissioned by the Ministry of Water and Environment, with support from UNDP Uganda, under the auspices of the global Mountain EbA Programme in Uganda.  This is the Popular Version of the initial report.

Through a public finance and policy analysis (PFPA), the report identifies opportunities, gaps and entry points for the integration of ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) into budget and policy processes in Uganda.

As part of the CIRDA Programme, Benin is actively working to develop an early warning system targetted at communites located in flood prone areas. By forecasting when hazardous flooding can occur, this project will have a direct impact in saving lives and reducing catastrophic damage.
