SWoCK Project: Integrated Community Based Land Use Planning

Rural communities are confronted with many forces of change. Climate change is nevertheless escalating the pace and severity natural change. In response, communities must learn to plan how they wish their communities to grow and develop in the future. Through the process of Integrated Community Based Land Use Planning (CBLUP), communities are able to make informed decision and plan towards possible climate futures. 

This video shows how the UNDP-SWoCK project has assisted the most vulnerable communities across Solomon Islands to enhance their resilience against climate change impacts through Integrated or ‘whole of government approach’ of Community Based Land Use Planning.

About SWoCK 
The SWoCK project is implemented by the Solomon Islands' Ministry of Environment Climate Change Disaster Management and Meteorology and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. The project is assisted by funding support from Adaptation Fund through UNDP.
