First Board Meeting for the LDCF-financed NAP-GSP

16 August 2013: The first Board Meeting for the Least Developed Country Fund (LDCF)-financed National Adaptation Plan Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP) was held in August 2013 to finalize the workplan for 2013-2014 period. NAP-GSP partners are drawn from United Nations (UN) agencies and other international institutions.

The Board Meeting brought together delegates from these partner institutions to discuss the work plan to provide support to Least Developed Countries (LDCs) that have requested NAPs assistance. The meeting, from 16-17 August 2013, saw consensus reached on addressing in-country needs for 17 LDCs. 

The planned NAP-GSP related activities for the coming 12 months are reflected in this timeline. Additional activities will be added over time.
 
Specialized UN Agencies collaborating on the NAP-GSP include: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organization (WHO), The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).  Other partners include the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and the Global Water Partnership (GWP). 
 
Partnerships are also being formed with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), amongst other collaborating organisations.
