COP 21 SIDE EVENT: Adaptation Finance

3 Dec 2015, Paris: A side event will be held at COP 21 on Adaption Finance,hosted by the governments of Cambodia, The Gambia, Malawi, Senegal, and the Global Water Partnership. The event will be supported by the NAP-GSP.

Objective of the Side Event: This side event, organized by LDCs, aims to showcase success stories on adaptation from some of the LDCs and steps they have taken at policy and programme levels to scale-up adaptation finance, especially with regards to the GCF.   They will draw linkages to innovative local level planning, climate expenditure reviews, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, as well as highlight some of the challenges faced.  The event will explore ways forward in continuing the momentum and scaling up financing.

 
Organizers: The governments of Cambodia, Malawi, The Gambia and Senegal, along with the Global Water Partnership (GWP) Organization are convening the side event, with support from the joint UNDP-UNEP National Adaptation Plan Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP).
